Last Saturday I was lucky enough to have a complimentary hair cut and blow dry at Super Cuts in the Crossgates Shopping Centre, Leeds. Their premise is simple, you show up without an appointment and have your hair done.

With colour you need to do a skin test a couple of days before to ensure you’re not allergic but with cuts and blow dries, you just turn up and leave with super glam, chic hairstyles.

Most shops are in shopping centers across the UK with 180 stores nationwide so if there is a queue you can keep busy before your appointment browsing the shops but waiting times are kept to a minimum. Hair cuts start at £13.95 (terms and conditions apply) and their fitting  tagline is ‘Good Looks Cost Less’.

A simply styled shop, I waited only five minutes to be seen and my friendly stylist Laura had a detailed conversation about how I would like my hair before starting. Wanting to keep my hair long, I was sure I’d only like a trim but more layers throughout if she agreed.

Assessing my hair, she advised how short the layers should be and suggested taking some weight off my hair too. With blow dries, I tend to always have big brushes put in leaving long Hollywood style waves so this time we decided a sleek, straight style would make a nice change once my hair was cut.

Using Supercut’s own branded Regis hair products: Designline Vivid Satin Shampoo and Conditioner, Laura set to shampooing and conditioning my hair, therapeutically massaging my mane clean. Combing through Enchanted Midnight Luxury weightless oil which helps keep hair supple and retains colour, she cut my hair making it feel lighter and more modern than before.

The blow dry was thorough and she finished it off with GHD’s and with some Designline Silk Drops repair and shine serum so it glistened. I can honestly say I felt like a new girl when she’d finished. Not just ecstatic with the cut and style but super relaxed and pampered from the whole, blissful experience.

There was nothing rushed about the service and the stylist really knew her hair. A complete pro who was lovely to boot. I left feeling a million dollars. Quite honestly, the best haircut and blow dry I’ve ever had. Thank you Supercuts.

I would love the won the hair cut. When I lived in the states I only ever went to supercuts. I haven’t been back home in years and haven’t gotten my hair cut in ages and it has grown well past the middle of my back. I never make time for myself and I have mobility issues which makes it difficult at times to go anywhere. I would love to get a cut with Supercuts and regain confidence in my looks again.

I’d love the opportunity to win this haircut competition at Supercuts as it’s now been 9 months since my last haircut because i’ve been really ill with spinal cord disease. I had major surgery in January and I’m only mobile with a walking stick for short distances and my wheel chair for longer distances! This is what I desperately need and hence would love to win it! :)))))

Id like an appointment because my last hairdresser was a nightmare. she didnt listen to what i wanted & she cut it way too short. So now its growing out all different lengths. Im scared to getting it cut again. So i need a proper cut to restore my faith in hairdressers, lol. By the way i love how shiny supercuts made yr hair. Its gorgeous 🙂 xx

    Great Review Honest Mum 🙂

I have made Supercuts in Scarborough my regular hairdressers recently because it’s excellent value for money and very professional! I’m in desperate need of a new style and like many other girls commenting on here, it takes me forever to straighten my thick unruly locks!!

Would love to win a cut at Supercuts – I have had my hair in the same style for years, the last time I had it cut I had some layers put in – but I feel that I am now ready to take on a new style.

@Lucinda thank you lovely, they did a great job on my hair! What’s more they listen when you ask for only a little off so sure they would keep your length but cut it into a fab style for you. Good luck x

Super stylish and looking glam there!! I love Supercuts, always used to get my hair cut at the Supercuts branch in the Lewisham shopping centre when we were at Goldsmiths. It’s no frills, but great service and they always did a decent job. I love your sleek look. x
