My darling husband Peter surprised me with a long weekend for all the family to Robin Hood’s Bay near Whitby in Yorkshire from Friday until Monday and it was just the relaxing tonic we craved.
Sun, sea, fresh fish from the harbour and all this in the heavenly World Heritage coastal resort, an hour and a half drive away from us in Leeds. Staying in a pretty cottage at the bottom of the cliff by the sea, the sunshine on our cheeks and dewy sea breeze truly refreshed and invigorated us all. Utter bliss. We will be back.
Ice cream and footprints in the sand: happiness!
Fishing for pebbles on the beach.
Visiting Sealife Sanctuary in Scarborough.
Outside our cottage. We miss it already.
