A delicious vegan dish.
The perfect midweek meal.
Delicious midweek meal!
This recipe comes from my brother Solos' Italian restaurant, Giorgio's, in Leeds and is one of the most ordered dishes on the menu!
Family dinners are an incredibly precious time to us. A chance to spend quality time together, even mid-week, it's a chance to reflect on the day and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal.
My son Oliver, 6 takes a lunchbox to school every day and like all parents, I want to provide him with a tasty, filling and importantly, healthy lunch to help fuel him throughout the day.
Pasta is one of my all time favourite foods and I simply amore this grilled salmon on spaghetti with black olives and parmesan.
It's nearly the end of February half-term (weep, it's been a gorgeously relaxed one here) so earlier this week, we headed to Cottage Road Cinema in Leeds to watch Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. If you're going, take cotton wool for your ears and wine if you can to get through it. The kids loved it to be fair.
I love this dish. It always reminds me of my times at Cannes Film Festival, dining alfresco in the sunshine sat in a bistro overlooking the Cotes D'Azur while enjoying the wonderfully fresh seafood that the Mediterranean is famed for. Pure bliss!
Within the gorgeous gift bag I left with after the wonderful dinner with Antonio Carluccio himself a few weeks ago, were the ingredients to recreate his exquisite pappardelle al funghi-so I gave it a whirl at home. I hope you love it as much as we do!
So folks, this is day 8 of my vegan detox and it no longer feels like a detox to be honest, but dare I say it, a way of life!
