The changes which have made life better.
Time is so precious. While you can always make more money or buy more things, you just can't make more time.
I've been reflecting on the year that's just gone a lot over the Christmas break as it was a time where I totally kicked back, hung out with those I love without deadlines or school runs and it got me thinking about what I'd do differently this year. What I'd like to switch up in 2017.
The bath has always been one of my happy places.
When you become a parent - and especially a working parent like myself - being busy simply becomes 'the norm'.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Whilst flying and invisibility would be pretty cool (obviously I would use this power for good and not sneaking into George Clooney's dressing room *cough...), I would have to choose the ability to extend time because having 24 hours in a day simply isn't enough to get everything done. Can you relate?
We all get stressed out at times and it's inevitable isn't it, with the constant juggling of kids, work and life. The endless pursuit of finding balance along with precious time out is stressful in itself-I need a lie down just reflecting on it all! ...Some days I want to high five myself for achieving all of the above and other times, I feel like I'm failing miserably. The last few months in particular though have seen me making some small changes to my life that have made a HUGE difference-I feel calmer, happier and more in control than ever before so here's my list:
One of my oldest, closest (and most gorgeous) friends Emma is in London from LA over Christmas so this weekend was all about quality time together, catching up face to face (Skype can never compare but helps since she moved Stateside), Christmas shopping and of course partying in sparkly London town!
Me time?! What's that I hear you cry?
