People tend focus on the downside of online life, how it can lead to a negative cycle of comparison which can tear away at your confidence or the inevitable trolling.

If there is one thing Patience Brewster is, it is an honest mum. Motherhood always came first, now and back in the late 70’s early 80’s, what she refers to as the dark ages, at a time when it was not so easy to work at home. No daycare at first, no computers. But it provided the best of both worlds as she illustrated children’s books with babies on her desk, and as her children got older, painted for galleries and for stationery companies and then designs for a huge international gift company.
I literally can't believe my baby boy, Xander turned 3 on Sunday, my charming, loveable, second born son is simply growing up too quickly and I'd like it to stop, STOP I tell you- I want him to remain my baby always, and I suppose he always will be just that, my littlest, youngest love.
Oh my, where to start with our time at the newly opened Rainbow Factory in Farsley, Leeds-as soppy as it sounds I find myself welling up recalling our experience there as it was like no other we've had as family, before.
I'm so incredibly proud and besotted with my boys Oliver, 5 and Alexander, 2, so this post is first and foremost for them: my darling sons, so they can one day reflect on the blog and know how loved they are and how much they enrich mine and my husband's lives.
It's so easy in life to be constantly chasing dreams, and believe me, I'm a big believer in dreaming big, working hard, and simply going for 'it' whatever 'it' might be, but recently I've had a little shift in thinking...
If I'm honest, I'm not really sure know where to start with my time at the Cannes Film Festival this year, it was such a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend from start to finish, I almost felt as if I was in a movie myself, a rom com meets cool European film, set in the Cote d'Azur where a group of friends have the time of their lives and appreciate every second. Now there's a film I should write!
So my Oliver brings all the girls to the yard...and it's no doubt milk rather than milkshakes senoirs he's still at pre-school but funny nonetheless! Slowly I've noticed over the last few months in particular that young girls are starting to notice him. He's always been popular at nursery (in fact I remember a row of girls standing by the window waving his off aged 2 1/2) but it's becoming a little more obvious now!

It seems that as soon as kids start school or preschool in my case, another holiday crops up and I'm responsible for the entertainment. I'm not sure we can have another week sponsored by Cbeebies after doing nothing but watch the box and nurse colds over Christmas, so in spite of the weather I'm hoping to get the boys out and about!
