Did I ever tell you about the time I ripped a pair of semi-permanent lashes from my eyes because I couldn't cope with the feeling of hardened lashes?
I was the owner of two sleep-thieving children up until about a year ago (when they both finally started to sleep through), meaning dark eye bags were par for the course.
After years of contouring, strobing, baking, matte pouts and Scouse brows, 2017's beauty trends will see us adopting a more natural look.
Earlier this summer I announced that I was joining the likes of Jordan Dunn and Gigi Hadid (I know, crazy huh) to become a part of the uber glam #Maybellinesquad. Squad goals complete right?
Forget Taylor Swift! There's only one squad for me! The #Maybellinesquad (maybe she's born with it)! Yup I'm excited to announce that I've been asked to collaborate with Maybelline's group of global beauty ambassadors to share my top beauty tips and my favourite make up from their latest range.
When I attended the Harrods' Christmas press preview in July, I was lucky enough to meet hair stylist to the stars and Creative Director of Urban Retreat, Harrods, Andrew Barton. Charming Andrew kindly invited me into the salon during our chat, promising me a beautiful blow dry and it certainly did not disappoint!.
Even with two kids to look after and a crazy busy blogging career, I always find time to style my hair! It's pretty high maintenance so there's no option there and you know what, my hair is my thing, I reckon.

Mothers & Shakers Featured Post. We are sent a fair few samples in this house but never have we tried fragrances for all the family before and let me start by stating these Khush-Boo fragrances are JOYFUL! A scent-tastic party in your nostrils that will...
I have another exciting competition on the blog today, this time from Vichy IDEALIA and their hero product no less, the IDEALIA LIFE SERUM which launched last year. Those that follow this blog know my great, sometimes obsessive LOVE of make up. I refer to it as my armour, it gives me confidence and helps to hide dark circles from the many sleepless nights I suffer sadly (thanks kids)-making me feel awake on the outside if not in.
I love experimenting with my hair and deviate from super curly or soft waves to poker straight hair from week to week.
Those who follow this blog know that I love a good pamper session and that's exactly what I had last week thanks to Allertons in Leeds!
What I got up to and bought on the weekend...
My hair was poker straight until I hit 13 and my hormones went, well a bit well hormonal and turned my sleek locks curly! The exact same thing happened to my Mum so it must be hereditary so in all honesty, I don't really know if I'm naturally straight or curly. I suppose I'm naturally curly now but there are days my hair is straighter producing waves rather than curls...an enigma! Anyway, I often get asked how I achieve my curls and when I'm not getting my all time favourite blow dry (I call it the Hollywood wave), I have a series of go-to hero hair products to keep frizz at bay and curls enhanced and pretty at home!
