What delectable sweet treats!
Last Thursday was a delicious whirlwind of a day in London-and a 7 hour round trip too, (one of the reasons we're officially moving back down South to the outskirts of London, from Yorkshire later this year) but one that was worthwhile, nonetheless as it was spent having delicious fun with amazeballs people.
Setting off from Leeds to Newcastle on a grey and drizzly day on Saturday to celebrate the launch of Esso's Synergy Fuels, the rain surprisingly and much to the awe of my kids, soon turned to snow on the motorway mid-journey. We certainly didn't expect it. And certainly not as much.
It's pretty hard to find couple time when kids come along, but Peter and I never feel more content (or sane again) than after we've managed to squeeze in a bit of time of 'us' time- be it a quick dinner, walk in the park or simply watching First Dates with a takeaway, while the little people sleep.
Courtesy of the fabulous website, TopCashback, I'm offering a lucky Honest Mum reader the chance to win the most incredible Virgin Experience Day - Fortnum & Mason Champagne Sky High Tea at The View from The Shard and Thames Sightseeing Cruise for Two!
It might not surprise you that this family of foodies likes to indulge in life and there's no better time for a little luxury than Christmas is there?!
Over half-term we were kindly invited to spend two nights at the splendid 5* Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.
