statement Zara earrings

Zara and chocolate seem to be my biggest addictions in life. I don’t go a day without either of them. OK, I might not shop in Zara daily but I do pop in there for my hit (window shopping counts too) as I live but a 10 minute walk from the store (and yes I do eat at least one square or more of chocolate a day)!

Zara never gets it wrong do they? From Chanel inspired coats to statement jewellery and floral frocks, this Spanish store really has it all, and with quality pieces too which go the distance and everything imaginable under one roof from on-trend straight-off-the-catwalk style pieces to classic cardis and heels, to suit all ages and tastes.

Here I showcase stunning red statement earrings I bought a few months back and recently rediscovered in my jewellery box. I don’t keep anything for best these days so rock these ruby velvet style beauts on both the school-run or a night out!

Because why not, hey?!

Honest Mum (winged eyeliner)

Bold, big earrings are the only way I go here as big hair requires even bigger earrings!

Lush huh?!

I also picked up this floaty floral frock below on a recent visit, and got my pose on at the breathtakingly beautiful Cliveden House last weekend.

Pairing it with over-the-knee boots by Daniel, and a vintage coat of my Mum’s after the shoot, for the Paddington 2 premiere, this is a dress I’ll be wearing all season long, and for years to come.

I would love to be able to treat myself to something new. Normally feel guilty buying clothing for myself.

honest answer is that I’m totally skint and it would help buy my daughter something for her 18th birthday which is a week before xmas.

Most of my clothing is over a decade old (probably closer to 15 years, to be honest). As I come to the end of my 30s, it would be nice to have a core wardrobe of quality clothes, instead of lots of cheaper items. This would be a nice start to replace a few items with one or two.

I wouldn’t mind treating myself. I’ve spent the entire year restricting what I buy due to saving to take my little man to Disney World. A few clothes for me would be nice now lol
