Raithwaite Estate is one of our all-time favourite places to escape to, by the Yorkshire coast,  in Whitby, just an hour and a half away from where we live.

Raithwaite Estate

Luxurious yet welcoming, perfect for kids of all ages too, Raithwaite is a complete haven for families who want blissful, quality breaks in the captivating countryside.

Raithwaite Estate

A grand country retreat comprised of two luxury hotels (we stayed in The Keep this time, above) and a collection of private stone cottages, covering a 100 acres nestled by the coast, on the edge of the moors, there’s something for everyone at Raithwaite.

Even with little ones, you get to zone out during your stay-all that sea air and the indoor heated pool means little ones exhaust themselves and chill, so you do too.

I love the grey interiors in The Keep-so chic!

It really is hard to beat Raithwaite for a weekend or longer stay.

We loved our suite with balcony for wine when the kids fell asleep. They’ve thought of everything.

As you can see, you don’t even need to leave the Estate if you don’t want to-there are 100 acres of land to play in with pretty paths winding to the lake there and a staggeringly beautiful forest to explore too.

The kids always love popping to the pool when we are there-and this Honest Mum, honestly loves the gym and spa!

One run, shower and foot refresher and pedi later and I felt like a new woman.

…The food is EPIC and breakfast was an hour long affair with a 3 course lunch to follow, so delicious and filling, we had to forgo dinner!

breakfast

All the yum vibes here with butternut squash soup, calamari, seafood linguine and a succulent cheeseburger and sides of red cabbage and salad.
