Green Papaya, Cucumber and Apple Juice

All this cold weather has me dreaming our family vacay to Ochos Rios in Jamaica. I may be in the north of England and wrapped up in woollies, but in my head I’m on a white sandy beach with turquoise jewel seas and palm trees swaying above. Bliss!

To get me feeling totally tropical, I’ve been making this zesty and vibrant juice of green papaya, cucumber and apple from the fabulous Mae + Harvey’s No Ordinary Juice Book by Natasha Sayliss.

With it’s deliciously sweet and buttery flavour, it’s little wonder that papaya (or pawpaw as it is often referred) is described locally as ‘the fruit of the angels’. Originating from Central America, it’s a rich source of antioxidant nutrients such as Vitamin C, the B vitamins, folate and much much more.

This juice is literally a taste sensation and you too can enjoy it for yourself as Natasha has very kindly shared the recipe here on the blog.

I’ve been working my way through her amazing juice, smoothie and nut milk recipes as part of my January health kick and I feel so much better for it!  You too can win a copy of her book worth £9.99 here.
