Featuring in a Film for bareMinerals

A month ago saw me being commissioned to join a group of ab-fab bloggers Ella of La Petite Anglaise, Rosie from Cider with Rosie, Catherine of Not Dressed as Lamb and Ambarina of Beauty Passionista) to undergo a bareMinerals make over and discuss the beauty label’s new and exciting bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation for a film on their site.

On set, after being made up by bareMinerals.

It sure is a miracle foundation and I’m a total foundation convert after my flawless look!

I also adore the pink lips they gave me and will be cheating on my usual red with their Jazzed pink lipliner, Risk It All lipstick and Life of the Party lipgloss.

(As well as being paid to feature, I was kindly also gifted my whole look too).

…I simply adore make up, always have, always will-in fact my Mum who was never into make up when I was a child, remembers me begging her to paint my nails after seeing my Aunt do hers.

I managed to dig out an old photo of me aged 3 and I can just make out the painted nails and check out that pout too (always the poser huh)!

So it seems I’ve had a long standing relationship with the transformative power of make up, it is playful and fun and most importantly armour to me- it gives me confidence and makes me feel good-red lipstick makes me look (if not feel) more awake (useful with sleep raiders for kids) and I rarely leave the house without some make up on.

Desert island must have’s at a push are my concealer (bye eye bags), mascara and bronzer… And now of course, the bareSkin foundation!

Here is a pic of me rocking the look they gave me for a night out!

Oxymoronically, make up enables me feel more ‘myself’-in fact I’ll be doing some beauty vlogging soon so let me know anything you’d like to see me cover on camera?

I’m often asked how I do my make up and style my hair; I’m constantly experimenting so I shall start sharing what works for me soon!

But first, please go ahead and watch the film (it’s only 4 minutes long)-it was such a fun shoot (all us bloggers got on so well and the bareMinerals team and film crew couldn’t have been a nicer bunch-even if they did take and share my ‘before’ picture-ha)… and funnily enough after a long career directing, pre full time blogging, mostly behind the camera, I really do love being in front. I feel so at home there.

I hope you like it.

Do let me know.
