As a list maker and lover, and sometimes it must be said, forgetter of things I love and need-this week I'm noting all the lovely items we've been sent for review recently that are making me smile!
Thanks to twitter I've gotten to know Cloud 9 Skin Solutions, an innovative new British skincare brand, paraben and cruelty-free, dedicated in creating solutions for specific skin problems. Launching with an initial range of five stand-out products, the brand empowers users to restore the natural beauty of their skin, using the unique blend of natural ingredients in all the Cloud 9 Skin Solutions products.
Those who follow this blog know that I love a good pamper session and that's exactly what I had last week thanks to Allertons in Leeds!
On Friday I headed to the haven that is Revive Tanning & Beauty Salon in Collingham, Leeds for a bit of pampering (I do love all these beauty reviews)! Wanting to add some lashes for a little impact to my eyes (especially pre photo shoot for my new profile and Grazia picture, taken after above) and loving the sound of not needing mascara for a few weeks, I opted for the Nouveau lashes.
This luxury 4 Piece Complete Skin Brightening Starter Kit by Thea Skincare is the ultimate in organic skin care helping you achieve clear, smooth and radiant skin! Amazing!. I'm not the greatest sleeper, I never have been really and in the words of my mother my, "energy has always been boundless". My kids seemed to have taken after me (which is good and bad).
My hair was poker straight until I hit 13 and my hormones went, well a bit well hormonal and turned my sleek locks curly! The exact same thing happened to my Mum so it must be hereditary so in all honesty, I don't really know if I'm naturally straight or curly. I suppose I'm naturally curly now but there are days my hair is straighter producing waves rather than curls...an enigma! Anyway, I often get asked how I achieve my curls and when I'm not getting my all time favourite blow dry (I call it the Hollywood wave), I have a series of go-to hero hair products to keep frizz at bay and curls enhanced and pretty at home!
So I did it, I shot my first beauty vlog for you guys, now uploaded to YouTube. I've always been passionate about hair and beauty (as you can tell from this post HERE) and after working with brands I love on camera including most recently bareMinerals Charlotte Tilbury for Selfridges and L'Oreal Paris UK, I thought it was time I shared my current day make up look!
I was just over on Youtube as I will soon be uploading my first beauty vlog for you all when I spotted this previously unseen clip of me from the recent bareMinerals shoot I featured in for the brand.
I am often asked about my skincare routine and although I'll be covering this in upcoming beauty vlogs I thought I'd share some of my kind, gentle must-have's that I love for my skin.
A month ago saw me being commissioned to join a group of ab-fab bloggers Ella of La Petite Anglaise, Rosie from Cider with Rosie, Catherine of Not Dressed as Lamb and Ambarina of Beauty Passionista) to undergo a bareMinerals make over and discuss the beauty label's new and exciting bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation for a film on their site.
Here you'll find my current edit of beautiful, beautification products I honestly can't live without right now. From eyelash lengthening liquid to bronzing cream to keep my pins golden post-Cannes, these stunning products will soon become your must-haves too.
When it comes to styling my hair, I'm regularly asked what I use ( I'm truly touched by the interest and lovely comments I receive on my locks on twitter) and my hairstyle seems to be becoming synonymous with my brand... so here's a post on what helps my hair look it's glossy best!
Ironic that just aged 33 (last Saturday to be precise), the concealer I reach for to hide the ever darkening under eye circles post 2 kids, would be something I discovered (and clearly didn't need) aged 18: Max Factor's Pan Stik.
I was sent Seventeen's Lip Lustre* in the light coral colour titled 3 Little Words recently to use and review.
Urban Decay Naked Palette is the bestselling, must-have collection of gorgeous eye shadows that I was lucky enough to receive from two of my great friends for my birthday in November. I simply adore this set.
Tuesday Beauty Spot: Talika Lipocils Expert Mythical Eyelash Conditioning Gel (for longer, natural lashes)
Would you like naturally longer, darker and curlier lashes? If like me, you can't stand the semi permanent Hollywood Lashes (I actually ripped mine off after spending £80 along with most of my lashes), then this product is for you.
Those who know me are well aware of my obsession with achieving the perfect brow (any day now). Brows frame your face. That my friend, is fact. They can also transform your visage for good or for bad (too thin can age, too thick and carpet world will be asking for their samples back).
