Brilliant Blog Posts

Growing up it was always my dream to be a presenter so I had so much fun shooting my presenting debut for ITV, filming 3 slots for Good Morning Britain, even cooking today which you can watch on the ITV site HERE.

Pre-blogging, I worked as a filmmaker, directing films, TV documentaries, drama, music videos and commercials.

I garnered awards all over the world having my work including accolades from Channel 4, Red Magazine and more and my work was screened on British, French and American TV.

I have a TV series I’ve written, in development with DLT Entertainment who make comedy for the BBC among others and I love all aspects of the media from script to screen.

As you can imagine though, I’ve spent the majority of my media career behind the camera, and although I presented a film programme for BBC 2 years ago; this was my first presenting ‘gig’ on prime time TV made even more special having most of the family involved too, particularly my two sons who proved to be little naturals in front of the camera.

ITV had found me via my blog and liking my On-Camera page, hired me just a few weeks before the shoot.

I love how democratic blogging is and how so many exciting opportunities can come from blogging.

You can see Monday’s top tips on back to school here and the others are on ITV Catch Up. I’ll be blogging in more detail about my experience next week! As cheesy as it sounds, I really feel I’ve grown a lot in the last few weeks and can’t wait to share more of my journey with you guys.

And whilst we’re on the subject of being on screen, I was also invited to YouTube HQ again on Monday for a content lab with their inspiring and totally awesome Content Strategist Marco Danesi where I connected with some kick-ass bloggers and vloggers and left feeling inspired about building my channel there.

It’s pretty closed shop at YT and I can’t blog about the experience but I’m determined to post most frequently after the last 2 events at YouTube I’ve attended and I have some seriously exciting collaborations launching soon that will see me both in front and behind the camera so watch this space.

I have a hugely exciting new project launching with a global brand soon and I can’t wait to share more of it when I’m allowed.

Now for this week’s #Brilliantblogosts where I’ve documented a holiday to the Jalon Valley in Alicante, Spain with the family courtesy of James Villas.

We had the most relaxing week, resting by the pool and simply enjoying the majestic views of vineyards and olive groves from our villa.

It was the perfect break away before a crazy few weeks of work ahead!

As always please link up your posts, old, new and as many as you like and share the blog love!
