brilliant blog posts-Honest Mum

I need to kick off this week’s Brilliant Blog Posts with a HUMONGOUS thank you to everyone who voted for me in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards.

I’m still on Cloud 9 after my double whammy! Winning the awards for Best In Social Media and the Outstanding ‘Best of the Best’ Awards (as voted by the judges and BritMums) rendered me speechless. I know, hard to believe I could be lost for words! Just Wow Wow Wow!

I’m so freakin’ grateful for all your support! The awards ceremony was one big emosh fest which saw me give Gwynnie a run for her money in my acceptance speech.

Please don’t miss my post and vlog HERE.

I started this blog out of loneliness. Following the traumatic birth of my first son, Oliver, I felt alone and pretty broken without direction. Blogging helped me to regain my voice, reconnect with who I was before the trauma and become (thanks to BritMums who were there from the start), a wonderful network of supportive and kick-ass blogging friends and colleagues!

Blogging is the most liberating, empowering and flexible way to work. As I mentioned in my post on dealing with rejection, this screen is yours, and my window to shine.

Blogging was a lifeline to me the first time I hit publish- and the last few years have seen it become my full time job-now with a small team at Honest Mum. I get to work with people I admire and brands I love. I feel so grateful for this every single day.

So for this week’s #Brilliantblogposts, I’m sharing my whirlwind experience at BritMums live, where as well winning my two new babies, I also spoke at the conference, alongside the kick-ass Natasha Courtenay-Smith, a PR and author of the new book ‘The Million Dollar Blog’, which also features yours truly!

Big thanks to my BritMums Live sponsor, the super A2 Milk.

And, as always, I want you to link up your million dollar blog posts! Old, new and as many as you want are welcome on any topic of your choice!

Cheers! *Clinks glasses full of Bolly!

Hi Vicky, just popped back to do my bit and wanted you to know that I love your new look. Not that there was anything wrong with your old look, the new look looks sleeker and more professional.

Congratulations again!! Can’t wait to read all about it later. I’m going to set aside some time later, so I can read it properly and watch your lovely vlog. Was really sad I couldn’t go to BML16, so thank you – it will be like a virtual BML for me 🙂 So putting the date for BML17 in my diary as soon as I know it!! Eb x
