Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s Brilliant Blog Posts!
I’m sat writing this post with a poorly little munchkin curled up on the sofa next to me. My youngest, Xander, has been ill this week with a bad cold and sore throat, so I’ve been taking care of him while also frantically making deadlines whilst he slept or watched cartoons.
Juggling a career and parenthood can be overwhelming at the best of times. Throw caring for a poorly child into mix and you’ll want to be reaching for wine before breakfast (is it OK to pour Prosecco on your cornflakes instead of milk?).
But feeling overwhelmed is a natural reaction to life. We’re human, not X-men/women, we all experience stress and believe it or not, it’s actually good for us in moderation. The key is how we manage it.
This is why I wanted to share with you my top tips on how to cope with feeling overwhelmed and I’m linking to this post for this week’s Brilliant Blog Posts.
From going for a run to meditation, I’m sharing the tactics that work for me as well as some top tips from my fellow mumbosses. I hope you find the post useful and I’d also love to hear from you on how you manage stress and feeling overwhelme too.
This week, I’m also linking up to my recipe for gluten-free dark chocolate coconut bites. If, like me, you’ve been on a January health kick, then you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE these! Sweetened from the dark chocolate, honey and Medijool dates, they’re a (slightly) healthier alternative to a standard chocolate bar but taste just as delicious!
And of course, as it is Brilliant Blog Posts don’t forget to link up your own posts! Every genre is welcome!
Have fun, add my badge on your posts, comment on mine and others’ posts and videos and connect with like-minded creatives!

Oh dear, I hope Xander recovers. It’s that time of year 🙁
It definitely is tough a work/life balance then a poorly person in the mix, Miss 3 was also running a temp since Fri, but today I was almost suffering cabin fever, so we donned the wellies and played in the mud for an hour, cant beat a bit of fresh air!
Hope all is well now? and life returns to ‘normal’ for you soon 🙂
Hope you don’t get this yucky cold as well, and you’re all back and well soon. Those chocolate coconut bites look delicious, I’m going to have to try them tomorrow (pregnancy craving kicking in!!) x

We make these at home too! Delish-and the kids have no idea that snickers even exist! Put them in the freezer, and TDF! #BrilliantBlogPosts <3 <3 <3
Oh poor kid, hope he is feeling better soon. There are so many horrid bugs about at the moment, my beau has never taken a day off sick from his job of 5 years and he has been off for the first time for almost a week. I don’t like the cold very much, but hopefully it will kill some of those germs hanging around from the warm winters we have had in the past years.
I love little sweet dark choc coconut morsels like this, reminds me of being both naughty and nice!
Also thank you so much for hosting.
